Northwest Highway and Main Street Mount Prospect, IL. Main Street is closed between Northwest Highway and Central Road in downtown Mount Prospect after a fire destroyed a building on the east side of Main Street. A Mount Prospect Police Twitter alert reports only the northbound lanes are closed, but the Google traffic alert below reports that ALL lanes are closed.
