From the Village of Arlington Heights ...
Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 28, collection services for refuse, yardwaste and recycling will change for single-family residences served by GROOT, the Village of Arlington Heights' service provider.
The last days of yardwaste collection are Monday, November 25 for residents living north of Oakton and on Tuesday, November 26 for residents living south of Oakton. Any remaining bags of yardwaste, bundles of branches or Christmas trees can be placed at the curb for pick-up during regular landscape collection days from January 6-14.
Collection services during the week of November 25, 2013 will change to the following schedule:

Monday, November 25, 2013 - garbage and landscape waste
Friday, November 29, 2013 - garbage and recycling
Schedule for Residents South of Oakton
Tuesday, November 26, 2013 – garbage and landscape waste
Saturday, November 30, 2013 – garbage and recycling
